I once knew a young soldiers wife who thought the General Officer parking spaces at the commissary was for any “general” officer, 0-1 to 0-whatever. I liked her definition, I was an 0-3.
As a young ensign posted to Replacement Air Group training at NAS North Island in the early 1980s I was amazed and delighted to discover a prime parking place at the “O” club designated “Any Ensign”. It was just next to the Admiral and Base CO places!
