The land is vacant of real estate there but it is mine. You are welcome to fish there. It's all catch and release though and here is the real gouge it took me years to learn- all the big trout are within 10 ft of the bank so tread carefully and don't try to cross the river..you'll never make by not swimming. Lastly, beware of Texans who own land nearby. You know how they are about property rights. The Gallatin is fun but it is a bunch of smallish and feisty rainbows. The Bitteroot? I heard it's coming back but it hasn't been good since Norman MacClean (River Runs Through It) was young. Re Fly fishing- drive to the Slide Inn on rt 87 in MT. Listen up? Hear & see the Madison River. Look magnetic 187 degrees for 1250 yds. The land is vacant of real estate there but it is mine. You are welcome to fish there.
