"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones
"Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra"
"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche
"A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke
“You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier

Man I can’t wait till I get to do stuff like this. GO NAVY BEAT AIR FORCE!
But not having to worry about being first let you get the better pic!
Very impressive! And very funny!!
That was a great prank – good work, Navy!!! That pic with the Chapel in the background is totally priceless
I heartily recommend giving those Midshipmen a ‘Bravo Zulu’.
Of course winning the game would be icing on the cake.
Being an AOC (still rubbed about having to start out as a USNR…) I’m nuetral when it comes to this form of er, competition.
Aye-Killjoy.
This “Blue Angel Phantom” has something the Navy version never had and could of used- a cannon. To make it realistic they should have pilfered that too…
PS- I actually can remember seeing an airshow w/Blues F-4′s when I was a kid…noisy and smoky…ahhh.
B2
This is a fine prank in the finest tradition! Very well planned, flawlessly executed, cleaned up and squared away afterwards, and well received by all concerned. I wish all of them could be this superb!
Kudos all around!
Go Navy!
Navy wins! Navy wins! Say hello to Commander in Chief Trophy?
A most excellent prank, fo sho! I’m amazed they pulled it off- and impressed with their usage of a water-based paint to speed clean up.
*Ahhhhh.. I love the smell of a good snark in the morning!*
Icing on the cake!
And Army loses as well!
Any chance someone in the soon-to-be-Commander and Chief-trophy-world have an extra ticket the The Game?
Actually, that is a “Delta” model Phantom…….no internal gun…had to wait till the “Echo” to get an M-61 Vulcan in the nose.fwiw
