Used to be that plebe year was, well – a year long. Plebe summer was definitely the worst of it, but it wasn’t beer and skittles when the brigade came home, either.

Plebe training lasts only 9 weeks?!? Back in the “Old Corps” Plebe year was a hard year, not just a hard summer………

B2 pointed us to Gen. Hagee’s bio, which led with: “General Hagee graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1968..”

Jeebus. I’m flipping *OLD*. I was a second hitch NCO in 1968.
