Speaking of memories…

I was Navy before I was Army. Actually, I was Army Reserve, then Active Navy, then Active Army again.

I held the Signalman Rating. Semaphore was a necessary part of any port call. Flashing light is too slow. I could windmill to any other ship in the harbor and have where the bars were, phone number to a taxi service, and locations of the windows to point the big eyes at before the colors were even switched.

Ahhh, those were the days.

Okay, time to fire up a Paypal account and donate something. Now.. the thing is, I’m not in the military, but dad was Air Force… had an uncle in the Corps… no Army ties… no Navy ties… but Lex is just. so. cool. Hmmmm…
