Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

No he doesn’t. Since when do private citizens need to put up rewards for stated national enemies? This is just cheap publicity for him.
Did you read the whole thing? You think the guy needs press?
Jesus. I never know quite what to make of you.
Cheap press would be having his press agent put the word out, not this way. I trust the instincts of Michael Yon and the Deuce Four soldiers, and their commander LTC Kurilla as to the reality of Mr. Willis’ intentions. The soldiers invited him to their ball a couple of weeks ago (which Michael has yet to blog about – as her was also there). The men think he is for real … I trust their perspective.
Typo above – meant to type “as He was also there”
Yea I read it. I just have never been a big Bruce Willis fan that is all. So I read more into it.
As for me, well I am actually a simple person.
Feed me, beer me, and put me to bed. What’s hard about that?
And as for my politics, that’s simple too. When I was young, I was rigidly conservative. Having been burned by that and and by life’s experience, plus having come to the promised land and seen the other side, I become more moderate with each passing year……..
Skippy-san, funny how life works. I started at the other end of politics, and for what sounds like the same reasions find myself a little more conservative with each passing year. Not a Willis fan either, but, I am with Barb on this one, plus, have you taken a look at his site? Not at all what I expected when I took a look last week.
Well, I think what he’s quoted as saying here is refreshingly clear of politics. Although not immune to cynicsm, apparently.
Yep. He gets it. It’s so refreshing to know that someone in Hollywood actually DOES get it. We hear so much about the Jane Fonda’s of the world that it’s about damn time we hear from someone who really does support our troops- AND their mission.
I want to like anybody who supports the troops, but I have some trouble with Bruce Willis. Being from Idaho, I was a witness to the foolishness that went on a while back with our Governor and State’s agreement with the Federal government over storing nuclear waste. Bruce Willis was in the forefront of trying to overthrow the agreement and the governor, and made an ass of himself on TV. Bruce said if we didn’t vote to undo the agreement he was going to move out of state. Idaho citizens voted overwhelmingly to support the agreement and the governor, and as far as I know Bruce Willis still lives here. One of our more Liberal newspaper columnists even tried to point out to Bruce that there is no where in the country where you can get very far from nuclear storage, weapons or power.
Having said all that I appreciate you showing me a different side of him. Thanks Capt. Lex.
Well, let’s start in on Gary Sinise. I mean, giving all those school supplies to Iraqi kids? C’mon! We could use those school supplies right here at home! The nerve of the guy. Him and Willis ought to be drawn and quartered.
Geez Skippy, I’m just about out of business after 25 yrs due to fuel prices/insurance companies/big government interference/big company pricing but even I don’t live life thinking everything sux! You need to go hike the Appalachain Trail or do some fishin’! Something to get some kind of perspective that isn’t negative all the time.
Ah, were life not so cynical!
I’ll buy Willis a friggin beer..
Mr. Willis happens to have megabucks he wants to put to good use. Surely we all want to see this evil filth liquidated?
He’s a regular guy from Jersey with some common sense, an observant eye and an appreciation for what’s right.
Just like Lex and the rest of the folks who frequent this web address!
