I know the mission is not complete and there is still much to do but this needs to be said.

Our troops set the conditions for this and desrve 95% of the credit. The volunteer military made this happen and to have participated and continue to participate in this radically historic enterprise is something this generation can be proud- forever. Our future leaders, civilian & military will be the veterans and those back here who supported the mission. To miss this event in our history is like being a twenty-something during WWII who spent the time in Switzerland or some such place. All the glory and honor goes to our miltary men and women. As it should be.

For those who stayed back and criticized ande put America last, may they be reviled by those that served and in the history books of the future. Yes, reviled the same way we look back at the Tories, the Copperheads and the No-nothings.....

Today's reports affected me in a way that I have never experienced... I raised my pint glass to an entire nation (or, to be precise, a large percentage of a nation). "Cheers", I said, "and may you now have a say in your destiny." "To have lived, and seen such days." Indeed sir, indeed.
