Lex – thoughts, positive energies, prayers – all being said for you, your family & Ann. I remember well the last Christmas I had with my beloved daddy (yes, even at age 42 I still refer to him as daddy), in 1994. He died one month later. It made Christmas bitter, but ultimately sweet memories took hold.

It’s trite – and I hated hearing it at the time – but time is a remarkable healer. No matter what happens to Ann, make this holiday the most special you’ll have as a family. Either way you’ll always look back on it with fond & happy memories.

Travel safely dear Lex – you are precious to many people. My hubby & I, and our families, will be thinking of you with great affection over the holidays.

My “little sister” is 61, she’s bigger than me – but she’ll always be my little sister. Time is funny that way.

Will keep Ann and all your family in my prayers. How wonderful that you’ll get a visit at Christmas. Hope it’s safe and as Merry as possible.

Captain Lex, enjoy Christmastime, it is a wonderful time of the year. I’m home now from school — and I gotta say this semester would not have been the same had I not been able to turn to your writings for some humor or insight — actually showed my mom your Lazlo story last night upon arrival of being home from school and she got many a chuckle as well.

Yout sister Ann will be in my prayers, keep us updated on her condition; but if you’re too busy to update very often in the next coming weeks, I think we’ll all understand.
