Tinkering

Most of it’s under the blogo-hood, stuff you’ll never see quite frankly. Threw google’s adsense in on the right of the main page, just for the doing of it. Very professional you see. “Monetarise” your blog, quite the rage and it wouldn’t kill you to click right through every now again, would it? Because I’d do it for you.

Some other here and theres, some of which worked well, others not at all. Had been green with envy for one of those flickr-style archive clouds. Now that I’ve got one, the game doesn’t seem much worth the candle. Definitely going to have to back in with the big sticks on CSS one of these days for the fontworks do not appeal to my sense of the aesthetic.

Speaking of aesthetics, went and saw “Underworld – Evolution” last weekend with SNO. Now, you either get excited about the prospect of Kate Beckinsale dressed in leather (and, in a rather tender moment with Scott Speedman, not so very) and wielding all sorts of high and low tech weapons against unambiguous bad guys or you do not.

But I’ve got to tell that, although I know it’s not supposed to? It works for me. I think because, you know: Of the morality tale that’s in it.

Speaking of which, this is not for the littler ones, nor you yourself gentle reader, if your tastes don’t towards what are euphemistically called “action” movies. You know who you are.

Compared to the first movie, the second was actually better organized and plotted. Which isn’t saying very much I know, the first show having set rather a low bar. The folks whose opinions are gathered over at rottentomatoes aren’t fans, but then again they’re BIG fans of Brokeback Mountain, which neither I nor the President have yet found time to see. And apparently the market agrees with me.

I think that westerns are so 1990′s.
