In the short term, the violence will escalate as AQ tries to prove that this scum bag c**ksucker’s death doesn’t affect things, and that they’re still a potent force. The reality is that this will likely speed things up in Iraq for the long haul, and for the better.
By the way, the amount of intelligence gathered from this event has allowed for something on the order of 40 raids, so the stuff we got must have been good.
