    I refuse to scroll down and find out who Star Jones is… I consider it a badge of honor that I have NO CLUE what goes on regarding that daytime TV show…

    I followed the link to the Noonan article, where I encountered this sentence: “Bush the Younger would breastfeed the military if he could.”

    I gotta give Peggy the prize for writing the creepiest sentence I’ve read this year.

    We pulled in to Hong Kong in about May of 1980 after a West Pac…. A submarine West Pac where sunlight is rationed out in 2″ diameter rations….

    I saw some guy wearing a tee-shirt that said “I Shot J.R.”

    Really, it was a (semi)serious question – the issue of her employment is raised by a former presidential speech writer in the Wall Street Journal, and remarked upon in censorious tones by Babwa Waltahs and I am far enough out of the cultural mainstream to have no idea who or what they are talking about.

    And I consider myself fairly well engaged with the world.

    Oh yes, should have seen it all along. It’s a vast right wing conspircsy that poor Star is fighting…her entire carreer. I also hear she was not raised by a village. Losing weight makes you ugly…I thought it caused cancer!Barbara Wawa is only a messanger, beware the real culprit…your brain! Lex, turn the page.

    Re: #16 – “Who is she?” was gonna be MY question. I’m outta step with the mainstream and don’t mind a bit. I’d know all these things if I listened to the conversations of the twits with whom I work, but I don’t. They don’t know who Brad Kasal, Brian Chontosh, or Paul W. Smith are, either, and don’t want to be told.

    Excuse me, I’m quite drunk, at one stage I was wearing the hat of a mexican sailor (you know, silly looking white thing). God only knows what the Mexican Navy is doing down here…
