Deep in your heart

You always knew that it would come to this. James Carville speaks to the chances of Hillary Clinton, hereinafter known simply as “Hillary” – can you feel it? – winning the presidency in 2008:

Hillary is the only nationally known Democrat (other than her husband) who has weathered the Republican assaults and emerged with a favorable rating above 50 percent (54 percent positive in the latest Post-ABC poll).

Yes, she has a 42 percent negative rating, as do other nationally known Democrats. All the nationally un known Democrats would likely wind up with high negative ratings, too, once they’d been through the Republican attack machine.

The difference with Hillary is the intensity of her support.

As an intense supporter, Carville should know.

It seems scarcely possible that First Enabler left the White House only six and a half years ago, leaving the permanent staff behind to count the silverware. I wonder whose character it speaks to more, hers or mine, that of all the obvious candidates from the left, Hillary seems best?

I heard just a bit of Carville a couple of mornings ago (on CNN?) as he was ramping up this little Touting Hillary campaign.
One thing he mentioned was Hillary acting from “the heart”…At that point it was too odius to watch anymore.

Just my own little quirk, but I always refer to Mrs. Clinton as, well … Mrs. Clinton. She is who she is, because she is Mrs. Clinton, and it is important that we never forget just who Mrs. Clinton is. I expect she is looking forward to the day when she can be called President Clinton, but I’m sure she’ll always be respectfully known as Mrs. Clinton

I prefer the NY radio commentator who refers to Hillary as Her Thighness.

You know we are going to have to deal with her sooner or later…maybe sooner and later. A presidential candidate being a woman is not an issue for me. I thought Elizabeth Dole would have made a heck of a candidate. Hillary comes with a lot of baggage that I don’t think she can carry. Kinda early to be talking the 2008 election, don’t you think?

Yeah, I’ve been liking The Hildebeast more and more lately – lots of redeeming, focus-based panderings and, I hear, she swears like a drunken sailor. Go Navy.

  • One of my worst nightmares. Well, unless they manage to tear down the curtain so the world can see “the wizard”.

    Yikes!!!

Yep – this is gonna get interesting……

The question for science is can we clone Margaret Thatcher. Now there’s a candidate!!

Wouldn’t it be lovely to see Condi Rice and HILLARY! duke it out? I don’t think Condi has the stones for that kind of rough and tumble, alas.

You know that HILLARY! does. Ah, well.
