Does anyone really care what Hugo “Don’t call me hugh-go” Chavez thinks? I mean when he isn’t breaking local skulls, buying neighboring nation elections or encouraging the ever-successful Latin American tendency towards industrial nationalization he spends the rest of his time trying to break our balls:
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has pledged to stand by Syria in opposition to what he said was US “imperialist aggression” in the Middle East.
He said he and Syria would strive to build a world free of US domination.
Mr Chavez is visiting Syria to show solidarity with it and other Arab nations in their opposition to Israel and the US.
This is busy work, taken together with the rest of it, and the problem is that he’s getting next to nothing out of Washington in response to it. No denunciations, no sharply worded demarches, nada.
Work with him people. He’s trying to make friends in Syria, for heaven’s sake. Man clearly needs a hug.
Or something.

Chavez….Castro…Saddam…..name the blood-thirsty tyrant. We should have a group of people working for US sort of like those Isreali guys that hunted down and whacked the surviving murderers of Munich! I have no moral, ethical, or philisophical problems there.Imagine if we had popped Castro 40 years ago. Or Saddam 25 years ago. Or Chavez now. Makes good sense to me.
And please, no climbing up and standing on the high moral fence and bleating about immoral national policy. Immoral national policy is allowing our southern border to be a wide open gateway for the islaom-o-fascist terrorist who are just waiting for the go signal to begin simultanieous Beslan style attacks across our country. They ARE already here….it’s only a question of WHEN they will turn on. THAT is immoral!
“He said he and Syria would strive to build a world free of US domination.”
Yeah, right. Perhaps free of US domination (as he says) but what other kind of domination will the world have to endure – Radical Islamic???
Kris said it for me.
?
Kris said it for me.
“He said he and Syria would strive to build a world free of US domination.”
G’luck with that. I’ll be in the bar.
Yeah. Sometimes I think this guy needs to go on the loose ends list with Al Sadr….
You know that on most east coast Navy bases, PAX, JAX, Norfolk/Oceana, the onbase gas station franchises are with Citgo..you know who owns them don’t you?..Personally, I try to buy at Wawa or Sheetz…Everytime I ever filled up there I thought I was buying a Havana for Hugo and Fidel!
Is that ironic or moronic or what, Lex?
El B2
So, a staunch Catholic country will buddy up with an Islamic country.
I think the “Beardless One” is trying to find some unused deep water ports in the Med. Sort o’ like his heroes the Soviets. (Ahh, the good ol’ days of the heroic workers vs the evil capitalists!)
Castro, with petrodollars!
The guy needs a hydra-shock suppository. Preferably administered by a home boy. Did I say that?
Hey Joe,
Not that I disagree with you, but I think 25 years ago we were PRO Saddam ’cause he was ANTI Iran. Funny how things change.
Nose
I think hugging a 1000 pounder would be good for him.
