It would really be nice to see these type of articles in the liber…… I mean mainstream media.
As you say, in the best tradition.
However, the second sentence in that news item could induce an apoplectic fit in an editor.
Now that the word is out, they’ll be flogged on their return for allowing a woman on their boat.
Would that this COULD start a change in the larger sense…

A friend?Ǭ
A friend´s father was a Sunderland pilot back in WWII, with at least one U-Boat kill confirmed.
He told the story many times, and my friend know it by heart, how after sinking the German sub, he circled and dropped life rafts and emergency supplies, radioing their position to the British Command.
It´s one of the many Laws of the Sea, the other guy is only your enemy while he´s able to fire at you.
My deepest respect to USS Raven command and crew. They are Real Sailors.
