"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones
"Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra"
"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche
"A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke
“You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier

Warning – more bad language.
Is it really the music? The first one seems rather hornet-centric while the second has a large dose of tomcat.
Anywho, how does one mount the video camera in the cockpit? Tape?? Velcro???
Nice.
After reading your posts about how carrier landings are graded, I started wondering how the guys making all these vids do when they’re screwing around with a camera.
That first vid actually posts his landing score
I’ve always thought there was something to be said for subtlety. Knew there was a reason I liked you, Lex
But strangely enough, I didn’t really mind the one linked by Charlie…maybe cuz Osama hasn’t exactly been on Christmas card list the last few years.
Michelle,
When I first veiwed the Die… vid it seemed way too far out. But for some reason, strangely enough, it seemed to grow on me. Perhaps some attitude adjustment is occurring.
Must be Culture night at the Oh-Club
More music/vid here, and not too bad.

Lex,
How does an old guy like you know who Marilyn Manson is?
If I was ever CO of a ship (and this is just one reason of many that the navy would never make me one) – the team america song would be my unrep breakaway song. F yeah!
I like the 2nd….well…. for the ‘sentiment’. Ode to Bombcat! Adios MF.
B2
You know, I like the one with Marilyn Manson – not because it’s him singing the song, but somehow it goes with the imagery and underlying message. The other one does seem a bit over the top, but then again, we are living in over the top times, aren’t we. F-yeah.
Shipmates,
Well, I’m probably older than Lex, but I like Manson. Have all his CD’s. Of course, I was raised with Black Sabbath and Zepplin, Iron Maiden, etc. Also have a lot of Goth/Industrial music, especially Sisters of Mercy and Switchblade Symphony.
To be candid, I have always found a good relationship between Goth/Industrial and military imagery. maybe it’s because I was born during and served through the Cold War, the “Old Game”. The Holocaust was always out there, waiting and watching, and oh so subtley ivading almost everything we did.
Ah well… heavy metal and heavy weapons… somehow I just can’t associate Sinatra with military imagery. Well, maybe with the new Littoral Combat Yacht, er, Ship… but I digress:)
Respects,
*purrrrrrrrrrrr*
LOVE “America… F*CK YEAH*
HATE Manson. Ick.
That being said… any vid with awesome jets is ok in my book
