Steyn isn&#039;t offering a COA, he&#039;s taking the facts as they are (think ground order of battle), and delivering his best estimation of how this battle will turn out (hint:  he says the battle is already lost).  Peters, however, has somehow lost the bubble altogether, and is simply not worth reading anymore.

The choice that is still ours is whether to commit suicide like Europe, or to realistically and coldly face the threat.  Given the recent elections, it doesn&#039;t seem the American populace is ready to make that choice.</description>

		<description>Le Pen got around 16% of the vote in the 2002 presidential elections - I&#039;m not sure how Ralph Peters is calculating that 1/3rd number.  Also, where does the writer get the idea that the National Front is worse than the KKK?

His point still stands though.  There is a lot of animosity in Europe towards Arabic immigrants - there have been similar grumblings coming from the Netherlands lately.

I think there is a third option: much stricter immigration laws in the old world.  In my mind anyways, this is much more likely than either genocide or decline.</description>
