"afraid to hit 'Publish' on this one. It feels like 'crossing the streams'"

Blah blah blah. Just admit it Lex, you're just bummed you didn't see/post this first ...

Nose is on fire lately. I couldn't stop reading his post on the Flight Deck yesterday; even though my laptop battery did it's darndest to make me stop.

...I'm a little surprised at the Judge - when I recruited in 89-93, it had already been DOD policy for years that we would not take anyone who had to enlist as a condition of avoiding a criminal penalty. That's not to say it didn't happen - it wasn't unknown for a person who hadn't yet been sentenced to mention he was thinking about enlisting and the Judge to drop the case, but he'd better go in.
But in this case, I'm not sure what His Honor was thinking.

When I want to hire a new person for my small business I follow a simple recruiting rule in building my pool of candidates. If I have but one person, I must make a decision. When I have two people in my pool, I can make my choice. The best case is to have three or more; then I can make a selection!

I would not want to be required to accept an employee at the order of a judge; why would the Navy want to do it for themselves?

Rah, rah for the blue and gold!!!
