"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones
"Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra"
"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche
"A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke

Yeah, S. Hussien was basically a good guy, one who was misunderstood, someone we could trust to do the right thing, to wit: Pay off families whose sons gave it up to blow those hate mongering Joos to kingdom come, play host to & harbor high profile terrorists, invade peaceful neighbors like Kuwait, I ask you, how could any right thinking individual confuse the “War in Iraq” with the GWOT? I know this phrase is usually reserved for such as Wilzcek, Alvarez, Pushkin, & Row, and rightfully so, they carry on the spirit of our forefathers that made us a free country. But “where do we find such men (& women)” that now fill the halls of the highest legislative body in the land? I’m not sure but it would be nice to “lose” them.

DANG!! Couldn’t finish my thoughts the first time. I would be in favor of changing the insignia of the democratic party from it’s present donkey to the, IMHO, more appropriate & ever popular ostrich (you know the head in the sand gig thingy). They might go for it, seems they can’t see the “forest for the trees” anyway. We’re going to have to deal with the chinless one, & old beady eyes sooner rather than later.

So, if GWOT goes away, what do we call our GWOTEM? Which is already obsolete, anyway, having been replaced by the ICM/ACM (that whole “trade-in” thing was repulsive-sounding, too, to me, but I digress). Will the anti-leaders retroactively change the name of the expeditionary and service medals? Idiots.

I know better than to watch that video. If I do, it’ll take me hours to calm down! LOL

My 50″ plasma screen TV needs a workout. I absolutely lust after jet fighters, especially 4th- and 5th-generation models. What’s the best high definition DVD out there that combines gripping footage (not necessarily combat), an excellent soundtrack w…
