A HERO cabbie who took on the Glasgow Airport terror suspects told yesterday how he booted one of them in the privates.
Alex McIlveen, 45, kicked the man, whose body was in flames, so hard that he tore a tendon in his foot.
But he said last night: “He didn’t even flinch. I couldn’t believe he didn’t go down.
“A doctor told me later I’d damaged a tendon in my foot.”
Fortunately, due to the free medical coverage provided by the NHS – and about which, Britons are “justifiably proud” – Mr. McIlveen can get his torn tendon seen to by one of the best doctors in the land. In fact, a certain Dr. Ibn Waytn T’akillya, a recent arrival in country, has expressed a personal interest in the case:
“I’ve a great deal of practice working through tendons,” Dr. T’akillya is quoted as saying, “I can’t wait to get this ‘hero’ under my knife. Em, care. I meant care.”
Mr. McIlveen is understood to have replied that it was just a scratch, really. Never to fret.

You’ve been making up a lot of Psuedo-news lately. It is smelling kind of Oniony around here.
Nose
No way, Nose. Lex making up stuff? I don’t believe it.
He’s just using that finely trained mind of his to explain it all to us less similarly endowed folks. Making the point, you know, obvious.
Snarking, actually.
And rather well done, too.
That guy is F-ing AWESOME!!!
Might have to add to a popular phrase:
“I wouldn’t cross the street to p!ss on you if you were on fire, but I may come over and KICK YOU IN THE BALLS!”
The mental imagery there is just stunningly comedic. A man, flaming, burning to death in extreme agony, skin melting off his fuel drenched body, and this British guy’s first thought is, “Oi, ‘e needs a good kick in the bollox, ay gov’nuh?”
Well, you know that’s really a stand-off type approach to hurting someone — don’t need to get too close to do some damage, and you’re still on your feet to run away from the flames!
Smart thinking on his part.
Thank God for one valiant Scotsman with the kick of a Clydesdale! Hope he created a new eunuch for Islam.
