More likely the Scots just decided the Brits weren't enough of a bother to, you know, actually go to war against again. Being reasonable people, the Scots much prefer to sit around and drink whiskey rather than beat up their distant cousins. Besides, not *all* those Brits are Liverpool fans so is it really worth the time and effort? - Max I’m not certain that it can be said the Brits ever actually subdued Scotland.
