We could do it that way too

Abdul Rashid Ghazi, the militant leader of the Red Mosque in Islamabad was killed today in a shootout with security forces after negotiations to end the stand-off failed to bear fruit. While Maulana Abdul Aziz, Ghazi’s brother and co-leader of the mosque was captured trying to sneak out of the mosque wearing a burkha, Ghazi declared that he and his rebels “would rather be martyrs.”

Fair enough.

  • No, you couldn’t.

Other countries are allowed to play rough. Take Russia or Lebanon or even the Hamas/Hezbollah mess.

America must fight with flowers instead of bullets, and lots of lots of soft talk.

if USA acts like Pakistan did “OK, let’s negotiate. We demand total unconditional surrender OR we’ll storm the mosque and slaughter every single one of you, wackos”…

Oh, I can almost see the headlines.

No, America can’t do publicly what sometimes need to be done.

Cardoso, we’re doing it 24/7. The administration has chosen the course of not talking about it, which is probably best.

I sure hope we are doing it, with or without announcing it. It’s being announced to those who care (our enemies) either way.

I, for one, am glad he went away entirely. His death wish has been granted. Too bad his brother was a wimp and tried to cross-dress his way out.

Casca, There you go again…Re # 2 above… you said ” we’re doing it 24/7″… your all knowing certainty about something that is all but uknowable is breathtaking…I seriously doubt that ” we’re doing it 24/7″…but if we, on the oft chance are… I strongly suggest that you put a sock in it. Best
