Political checklist

Stilt puppets? Check.

Absurd parliamentary theatrics? Check.

Follow-on ambassador gig? Hold.

But it’s looking good.

Sigh… I had to turn the TV news off tonight. If I hear another politician say “we’re going to do such and such to enforce the will of the people”, I’ll just have to barf (or destroy my TV)! I’m pretty sure they live in a different Universe than me. They’re absurd!

I was SURE he’d come out for Ron Paul, or was that Rupaul?

  • Stop the world. I want to get off.

  • I’d rather have a sister in a whore house than Hillary in the White House. Oh wait, with Hillary you get both…………

  • “…I’m pretty sure they live in a different Universe than me.”

Well said Miss Birdlegs. I haven’t watched “the news” in about 3 years now – can’t stand the talking heads and their obvious biases.

Skippy-san: you know you should think about being more honest in expressing your opinions. Really – you leave so much open to interpretation. ;-)

  • I liked Jules Crittenden’s take on the subject. Boy-Howdy, can that guy ever throw out the snark! Good round-up of Lefty blog-gushing about Wilson, too.

All that aside, I think we better start “getting our minds right” about Hillary in the White House.

    The horror…the horror…

  • Good lord Buck but I hope you are wrong. I can get my mind around Hillary as the Democrat’s candidate, that seems fairly inevitable. But actually “in” the White House? Oh please dear lord…no no no no no no no.

  • Good Lord. If Hilary worms her way into the White House, we won’t need to get our minds right. We’ll need to get our passports right and move to Canada.

    God help us all.

Hillary will self-destruct along the trail. She’s passed out way too many knives not to have one gut her. Make no mistake, her campaign will be dirtier than anything Tricky Dick ever even thought about doing, but McGovern is right. The American people aren’t going to elect the “cut & run” candidate. Any of the top three R’s can beat her. It’ll take a record amount of money.

  • I heard a good analysis that said, you know we will have had two dynastys as President if Hillary were to be elected and it would literally be almost 30 years of Bush-Clinton if she were to be elected. For that reason that particular pundit (George Will) felt that the American people would reject her.

Plus its more than hard core conservatives she offends. She’s alienated more than a few Democrats along the way and middle of the road Republicans.

She may be able to win the nomination- but even if it came down to Hillary vs Satan on the ballot…….well, there would be more than a few voters pulling the lever for old Scratch. :-)

Of course, Skippy, probably more that a few would go with old Scratch. It would be the Devil you know in that case …

She doesn’t just offend hard core conservatives, middle of the road Republicans, or a few Democrats, she offends her lunatic fringe base by not being whole-heartedly against the GWOT. Because she’s trying to appeal to non-crazy people, the far-far left has been screaming at her non-stop.
