And those of us with blogs will pass the word around. And maybe somewhere at some time, someone who has tried hard to ignore such courage and virtue as displayed by these incredible men and women - will suddenly have the scales removed from their eyes and will see the world as it really is. Instead of the pablum they are force-fed by a media too full of their own self-importance to tell the truth, or even a tiny version of it. But we will read about them – because men like Lex will make sure we know about them. And those of us with blogs will pass the word around. The answer that immediately comes to mind is: 'Uncommon courage is a common virtue' Each of these heroes represent something we often overlook when discussing the Armed Services. They are volunteers, they are intelligent, dedicated and loyal to their units. That we won't read (or hear) about them and their exploits is, as Jeopardy says, a shame.
