The big news is in front of us with the disposition of charges against LtCol Chessani, SSgt Wutterich, and the smaller fish. Mattis could go either way on sending them to a GCM. The only worrisome charge is the dereliction of duty charge against the CO, and that is only worrisome because it's so easy to second guess what another SHOULD have done after the fact. That charge will hang on the composition of the court, if there is one. It is the "process crime" in all of this. Good news, and not unexpected, it’s nice to see the system work.
