The Holocaust Memorial in DC is a sobering reflection on exactly how evil, and I use that term deliberately, the world can become. Taken in that context, all this stuff about Swift Boats pales to insignificance.

Which really ought to give us a sense of perspective.

Could we get someone to call someone a Nazi soon so we can move on to a picture of girls with guns or something else gooder than that?

Speaking of Nazi's - went to the Holocaust Memorial in DC today with the Fambily. Did it with some trepidation. If you have never been, you must go, you must take your children. Unbelieveably well done.

Aplogies to Beldar. I was typing faster than I could proof. Your name does not belong in the address of my message. Again, very sorry.

To be fair ProwlerGuy, Beldar is not one of those who, upon closer reading, could be considered a Kerry apologist.

Beldar, tc, and other clueless nitwits,

I can't help but notice that what you claim is a rebuttal of the claims made by the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth is actually character assasination of the messengers. In none of your posts here do you outline any corroboration for the claims of the Kerry camp, outside of the reports written by Kerry himself.

If the Swifties are republican thugs, I'd love to hear your explanation of Paul Galanti. Paul campaigned for Doug Wilder during both his race for governor of VA and later mayor of Richmond. Might want to check the letter next to his name. Further, Paul headed up John McCain's campaign in VA, and held (and holds) Bush in quite a bit of contempt. Yet there he is, telling his story in commercials and on the talk show circuit.

I will spare you the indignity of having you explain Monsier Kerrie's memories that were "seared, seared into [his] memory" if you aplogize and go away. Or ask you to explain the entries in his own journal stating he hadn't seen any enemy action AFTER he had his first Purple Heart.

Tell you what. The day you can show me ol' Jacques' DD214 from his initial discharge, I'll be willing to talk about his war record. But until you do, I refuse to categorize any officer who did not receive an honorable discharge due to seditious activities to be a "war hero", no matter how much you scream about it.

At least we haven't yet heard from Jadegold here. Or does Lex have countermeasures already deployed?

Oh, as I commented on another post, and as some up-thread have adumbrated, politics is just war, (unjust war?) by other means, and if not happy with the politics, one may always demand cash payment in blood. Expensive to collect, and expensive to pay, that.

Just as soon stay with the paper currency here, that form of gold is awful heavy.
