Jimmy J - I have also been in situations like you describe. Hairs on the back of the neck... up.
It is because of these experiences that I think we will need to be hit again big time for something to change. I hate to say it but, I think it is true. God Bless the sheepdogs....

I was in Copenhagen last year about this time. My wife and I were with a tourist group waiting to take a tour of Copenhagen by boat. (Copenhagen is riddled with canals and waterways.)

I noticed two young Muslim men seeming to be fishing near where our group (about 200 people) was lined up. Looking closely at the two I realized that all their gear was brand new and they showed little evidence of expertise in it's use. They seemed much more interested in surveying the nearby cruise ship and the tourist venue on the dock. They had a large, canvas bag sitting outside their van, seemingly to no purpose. (Hold their catch? Filled with explosives? Or?) I could not help but wonder why these "fishermen" were where they were. It crossed my mind that they could be surveying a location for a future attack on a group of tourists or a cruise ship.

Interestingly, a few minutes before our tour got under way, a couple of policemen approached the two men and appeared to be asking them what they were doing. I was, being the hyper- suspicious type that I am, happy to see that happen.

This article about the arrest of some Danish Muslim terrorist suspects certainly triggered the memory of that incident.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but it is mine nonetheless. I believe that this war is far more than a few "radicals" who have hijacked a "peaceful religion". I believe that this is first and foremost a religious war, and secondly a war that will define how we in the west live out the next century.

Will we live it out in submission to the forces of Islamofacism, or will we stand up for freedom? I choose freedom, and will do everything in my power to stop anyone who stands in the way of that lifestyle.

Lex, interesting use of the Ruth passage - does it have something to do with this portion?

"thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God"
