I am actually guilty of complaining about the heat in front of a serviceman… He retorted that I “didn’t know hot” to which I said I am sure you are right… And thank you for your service, I would never want to be subjected to what you have endured.

The lady has a firm grasp of the obvious, it should never need to be said, but she was right to do so. For some veterans, the same is true for them. Please, do not say, “We’ll wait for things to get back back to normal, normal is GONE!” Many have commented and said, “I wish I would have said that.” The important thing is for the message get out.
