Someone you ought to know about:
On June 28, 2005, deep behind enemy lines east of Asadabad in the Hindu Kush of Afghanistan, a very committed four-man Navy SEAL team was conducting a reconnaissance mission at the unforgiving altitude of approximately 10,000 feet. The SEALs, Lt. Michael Murphy, Gunner

It’s about time. Thank you, LT Murphy.
The personal fortitude to keep doing what must be done and not give in to panic or inaction in such a terrifying situation is unimaginable to me.
As we keep saying, Where do we get such men?
And I thank God for them every day.
Here’s a link to LT Murphy’s local paper. Great articles and a video interview with his parents.
Thank you to Lt. Murphy, his fellow SEALs and their familys. You are what makes this country great. I am in awe of you.
With the absolute most respect:

Marcus Lutrell wrote a good book that gave a more detailed account of his colleagues heroic actions in “Lone Survivor”. It is a hell of a book about courage and the warrior spirit. Lutrell does his fell SEALs proud in commemorating their actions that fateful day. Read it.
::: Salute :::
I finished reading Sole Survivor earlier this year – a hard read but a book that all Americans should read… I had hoped that Lt. Murphy would receive the MOH for his heroic actions that day.. I’m glad to see that he did..

And gray walls moulder round, on which dull Time
Feeds, like slow fire upon a hoary brand;
And one keen pyramid with wedge sublime,
Pavilioning the dust of him who plann’d
This refuge for his memory, doth stand
Like flame transform’d to marble; and beneath,
A field is spread, on which a newer band
Have pitch’d in Heaven’s smile their camp of death,
Welcoming him we lose with scarce extinguish’d breath.
True warriors do excist and I salute you, LT Michael Murphy…
THE USA LOST AN EXTREME HERO!
HEAVEN GAINED SOME ONE IN ITS
HIGHEST REWARD!GOD HAS NO GREATER
LOVE THAN A MAN WHO LAYS HIS LIFE
DOWN FOR HIS BROTHER!
ALL MY PRAYERS GO TO THE MURPHY FAMILY!
