Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

Okay, I understand why the USO was willing to do it. Intellectually, I think it’s pretty sound–they are non-partisan.
But still… the idea that I’m now one degree of separation from Move-on.org just makes me ill.
Yeah, first thing thing that came to mind when I read this was you, FbL. And I immediately thought “Well, that’s just ….weird!
I ask, when has Soros done anything positive? This relationship is just too curious for me, and too out of character to be of good intention. Anything MoveOn.org does worries me.
Sounds as though they’re after names/information which can be uses against the common good of the armed forces.
Makes no sense to me. WTF is USO thinking, anyway? If’n you dance with the devil, the devil usually gets lucky.
Look carefully at these weasels.
MoveOn.org did not spend a dime. They sent our a press release bragging about their wonderful good deed- asking their nutroots co-consipirators to give money.
If they can be believed [doubtful], they have “…received hundreds of responses and tens of thousands of dollars in donations from the e-mail, said Eli Pariser, executive director of MoveOn.org’s Civic Action program. ‘So often we focus on legislation, but around the holidays we also just wanted to directly reach out to the men and women in harm’s way and help out,’ Pariser said. ”
Let’s see how many phone cards they actually turn over before we allow them any credit for good deeds.
Still, it is a very effective, and typical, disinformation ploy for them to pull a stunt like this, and try to grab credit for good intentions, not actual results. It’s the liberal way of life.
Anyone who has to brag about doing good deeds is doing them for the wrong reasons.
If anyone deserves a press relase full of comendations for their long term, continuing, and genuinely helpful support, Ms. FbL would have her picture on the front page of every paper in the country.
In fact, has anyone ever actually seen FbL and Santa Claus in the same place at the same time? Just wondering……
