    What I ‘d like to know is – what kind of search did our humble scribe do on You Tube that netted this gem?

    YMCA with hot RAF man?
    Thriller + plane pr0n?
    Some wonky song + skinny white man legs?

    I like plane pron as much as the next airpower junky… but there’s just something wrong with that. So wrong… gonna have to drink a whole lot to get YMCA out of my head.

    For countries that salute with an open palm, the big hands make sense, I guess. At least the marshaller is pretty sure the taxiing pilot is paying attention.

    Been away for a while, what with the Holidays impinging on materia webex… Loved this on Lex!

    Had a bit of a twinge, as I wondered what scribes of yore would think of this web business, instant visual and auditory gratification, when 100 years ago it could only be delivered on crinkling pages…Where is the “Devils Dictionary” when we need it.

    Your tribute to Richard E. Rosenthal brought forth what my pappy used to say: “You are better off writing from your open heart than from an open Thesaurus…” Elegant pen!

    I ain’t going to touch your PC post, not when it only is applied to that dreadful long toothed Academic Liberals. As we all know, the Conservatives, free thinkers that they are, have no constraints on their thinking…

    “Marshall Jets” is a new term for me, but then also stumbled across the word “analemma”, and a picture to explain it. Those navigators, waving their hands in the air as they try to explain their art, may be able to use it.

    Came over via Tammi, and must add here I have been lucky enough to spend a little time at “socail events” with folks from the RAF. They ALWAYS bring a gift, and they are always the cheekiest and most entertaining in the bunch!

    I personally thought, that aside from the Brits, the Italians were pretty daggum funny. That thing at the end cracked me up. Maybe its just because I live with so many Italians…

    Made me wonder if you ever had any non-comformists marshall you in. I’ve seen some of these vids before with dances and stuff and have always wondered, “What in the heck did the pilot think?” :)

    Two things.

    1 – That’s brilliant. (it’s down on youtube but up at The Sun)

    2 – Americans typically are first subjected to a witch hunt and then beaten about the head and shoulders for doing the same thing… even though they still do…
