Neither of them would endorse based upon something as flimsy as a mere former job description. Of course, one is dead and the other is strictly non-partisan, so this isn't exactly a scenario we need fear. After reading Romney's withdrawal speech, I'm even more impressed with his character, judgment and world view. However, McCain is the toughest, and perhaps that's what Providence needs this election- a belligerent old man who will not back down in the face of the fight to come. It makes me worry that we're going to see some terrible things happen in the next few years, before this world war we're in now gets worked out. I hope it works out well. Best wishes to all. My faves are being winnowed out one at a time. First Fred!, then Rudy and now Mitt. Course I won't pine for Huckabee - when will he see the light anyway - but that does leave us with IMO the least desireable of the Republican candidates.
