Interesting info on the Tucano. Didn't I gripe in here about a year ago for the need for a cheap, survivable close-air-support platform wrapped around a turboprop? As in most things, somebody else was way ahead of me.

Peter: the Patriot Guard Riders come from all walks of life, their only common trait is that they respect our soldiers and wish to protect the dignity of our fallen when receiving their final respects by shielding the family at their invitation only.

That's a fairly large demographic, but few of them probably sing well. One just doesn't tend to find a lot of guys with names like "Chainsaw" who have the deep bartione and breath control necessary to really recreate the classics. I have been told by scruffy people normal folks would cross the street to avoid that I sing like a goat. But it does make for some fun if not somber rides and interesting conversations.

Skippy: South Korea needs gamers? Trust me, the winters won't be a problem. What kind of coin are we talking? There is a certain appeal to taking a year or two off of work to just play video games. You know, re-live that first semester of college prior to mid-term exams and the Rude Awakening that study time was required.

Well, I guess Vegas just got a run for its money as my favorite city in NV.

Let's see, Lex. You fly. You like doing BFM. You've got oodles of air-to-mud experience. And you hate terrorists. I think you may want to look into this for your next act (sorry, don't know how to hyperlink): http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htairfo/articles/20070827.aspx

Lots of the T-6 drivers on mainside have been applying there recently. . .

Well, Bless the patriot bikers (sorry ,I forget their official group name at the moment) for having the character to stand up to that obscenity, and for having the courage to stay in it when the pushing started.

Just one quibble- although singing is an effective tactic in the face of shouted slogans, their singing is horrid. They should practice the national anthem, some service songs, some patriotic stuff and some hymns maybe. With the right passion, Gutthrie's 'This land Is Your Land' even comes across as patriotic.

They might really get into it, and enjoy their own road-side chorus performance, and it would be a pleasure to hear. That might also get more media time, and would spread an even more inspiring message than just 'Bikers stand up to Phelp's 'church'.

How 'bout it, guys?

Best regards, P-dub.
