Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

I have always liked redheads
I concur.
or…as the kids say, “gingers FTW!!!”
Just me, but be it Amanda Carpenter or Maureen Dowd, a “glamour” shot at the head of the column isn’t exactly helping the “take me at my words” argument. Of course, we guys have a real advantage, particularly as we get older and dumpier, because sure as the sun will rise in the East I’m not going to impress people with my looks so my words need to carry me.
Were I a female blogger I’m not sure how I’d handle this. Something dignified rather than sexy, I suppose. But then, who doesn’t want to look their best in public? Kind of a quandary.
– Max
Being a female blogger, I put my picture up just to give a face to the person behind the words. I think being a woman we naturally tend to be very personable and a having a picture gives the reader someone to relate to other that just a bunch of words that appear on the computer screen in front of you. A photo sometimes makes the writer seem more “real.” (if that makes any sense) I tend to be a bit partial to redheads though! LOL! Oh, yeah! I am a redhead. Maybe that has something to do with that!
Fast Nav, “FTW”? Help out us old guys, thanks.
Said ranga is indeed rather easy on the eyes..
The first pic….. not so much.
This just follows along this path I hold to be a self evident truth:

That MaryScott O’Connor has a fine Eire name, close to home but IMO, she should be burned at the stake!

FTW = For the Win!
I think the smiles give it away. Leftists (I can’t really call them liberal because they aren’t) are always mad, not just angry, but foaming at the mouth rabid. Making sense, and finding solutions through discussion and compromise are not in their bag of tricks.
Marvin… :=)
Thank God it wasn’t a trick question. The maenad’s face (above) would curdle a Coke.
She doesn’t look like any female softball player I’ve ever seen.
Rachel Lucas is one of my favorite blog obssessions. She’s really ridiculously talented at making you laugh at something as mundane as buying a new dog whistle.
What I want to know is when are the PC Police on the Left going to knock on Maryscott’s door and notify her she’s been kicked out of the club for being a smoker?
Oops! I forgot, they don’t condemn their own for that kind of thing, only everyone else….
I don’t know what Ms. O’Connor’s problem is, but I’ll bet it’s hard to pronounce. Maybe if she increased the amount of fiber in her diet she wouldn’t be as stressed.
At least she drinks………
