Note to Bubba enablers and apologists

This is why we hated him: Wouldn’t it be great if Obama loved his country and was devoted to the best interests of this country? Like, you know: Hillary?

Now do you understand?

I guess I was lucky. My period of service relative to bubbajeffy was roughly 8 months and 1 week. and the, I transfered to the Fleet Reserve.
My PN1 did inquire about receiving a certificate signed by the CINC. My answer is not repeatable in civilized company. Some guys I knew in VAQ-141 on Harry S. Truman had some really colorful comments regarding the visit of bubbajeffy that same year. Same civility rules apply.

Clinton supporters can only hope the downtrodden whites Mrs Clinton needs to win will not be soothed by Mr Obama’s smooth oratory.

Too late? Watch out for Mr. Preacher man.

    It is to laugh.

  • I dunno. With Obama’s wife all “I’m proud of my country for the first time” and with Obama himself refusing to pledge alligience to the flag of the country he wants to lead…seems to me it’s fair to call his patriotism into question.

Not that I like BubbaJeff and Shrillary, but I have to say that the man’s got a point…

Lex- So do you agree Merry McPeak (USAF whale-poop) has a point about Bubba as McCarthy?

    Kris,

re “”I grew up, I was going to college when Joe McCarthy was accusing good Americans of being traitors, so I’ve had enough of it,” McPeak said. ”

First off, I didn’t know little fighter jock McPeak was that old, secondly, does he (McPeak, not Obama- please I”ve taken enough grief-I’m hands off Barry from last week-LOL) get to choose “good” Americans. That’s scary. McPeak’s a strap hanging, butt-sharking bozo (not even an “apple polisher”…) seeking relevance is all.

Now on to what Kris said- Is that true, Obama not taking the pledge? Sure, I’ve seen the pic floating around from early in this Democratic “Cannibal Campaign” with Billary, “Taliban beard” Richardson and Obama, all watching the flag pass in review where everyone except Obama has their hand over their heart. That pic doesn’t/can’t say all. Please clarify Kris. Going out of your way to NOT say the pladge is pretty radical for an US Senator. Is it true?

  • See, when I read that line, I thought he was thinking about the people he had to run against. Then I remembered that he ran against GHW “shot down by the Japanese” Bush and Bob “shot by Nazis” Dole. Naaah. I think he must have meant Obama, but jeez that’s either clueless or classless.

  • McPeak, a former chief of staff of the Air Force and currently a co- chair of Obama’s presidential campaign…

It embarrasses the Livin’ H377 out of me that Gen. McPeak and I served in the same Air Force, at the same time. Thankfully I retired long before he became CoS.

    Badbob –
I don’t think there’s any story out there about how Obama refused to say the pledge. There’s the story of how he didn’t put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem (vid clip HERE)

But, like most things, I’m sure it’s getting blown out of proportion and by the time the election comes around, the story will be that he burned a flag while giving the finger to the woman singing the national anthem while he was wearing a turban.

  • There is a story go to along with the picture of Obama refusing to say the Pledge go here.

Obama has stated that he won’t wear an American Flag, noting that being patriotic is more about speaking about the issues than wearing a substitute for true patriotism.

And in October 2007 he refused to put his hand over his heart when the Pledge was being said at some fry dinner (link embedded in the above).

B2 – it’s true and it is radical for any politician that’s for damn sure. Then again, I don’t think we’ve seen even the tip of the “radical iceberg” when it comes to Obama. Things are just getting warmed up…

Sure is a lot of smoke billowing up around that BHO fellow, what with his wife’s comment, his preachers provacative comments, not to mention the Pledge of Alligence fiasco. We might yet see him in spontaneous combustion mode.

  • Mike Myers

Unless McPeak is using a walker, he sure the heck wasn’t in college while McCarthy was in the Senate.

We need a lot fewer “political generals”.

We also need a lot fewer Clintons.

  • badbob

I’m still on this post because I want the facts out there. It was left too oblique above..and OP may come around to “box” things up…

    Mike,

Merry McPeak is one of the more lame when it comes to those high & mighty (once) seeking relevance. Embarrassing he stuck his nose into this one..by using the Liberal Socialist Bogeyman- Joe McCarthy- to mount a battle cry. Unseemly.

    Kris,

I checked on that pledge question and whether Barry would recite on Snopes- links below. IMO, Obama is just another ‘ joe average’ civilian that, at best, doesn’t know how to rend proper honors or do the right thing (go to a MLB game)….You would think if’n you could teach a bunch of Tenderfoot Boy Scouts all that is needed in one training session to do it right that a Harvard educated lawyer elected to US Senate could do the same…..Priorities.

  • B2: It’s this statement from Obama’s campaign advisors that sticks out to me:

“Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn’t”.

Either you hold your hand over your heart for the Pledge and the Anthem – or you don’t. I’d vote for “do” everytime. Shame this Harvard educated idiot (is that a repetitive statement?) doesn’t see that, particularly as he is trying to be the Commander in Chief. He won’t consistently honor the flag under which he wishes to command.

  • badbob

Yes Kris, I understand well. That statement galls me too..I’m just trying to find the truth here. I don’t like the idea that an outside the pack, irrelevant lapdog like McPeak is sent out as attack dog making reference to McCarthy. Concurrently by no means am I supporting BillyC right to be an a$$hole. He is already well established to that moniker.

Priorities= something meriting prior attention..You know. Something important.

But we musn’t question his love of country because his, should I say, simple ignorance of protocol/basic citizenship, right? Obama hunting is outta season in Lex’s county, metaphorically speaking, since the “groundbraking” speech! Plus, OP the game warden might show up! LOL.

    b2

  • “Game warden” – B2 that puts in my mind a visual of a wild pack of hungry dogs and cats (sorry Lex) with someone in pursuit…it’s an amusing visual since we are largely left to our imaginations on the physical side to all our individual cyber-selves…but knowing the personalities, I’d be afraid – for OP as Game Warden.
