Occasionally I attempt to look at the pending election from a committed Democrat’s point of view. Instantly, a sense of compassion hits- the poor folks have no presentable candidate- and I start to feel sorry for them.

Of course, as soon as I remind myself that any God-fearing America-loving rational adult would simply choose to no longer vote Democrat anyhow, that magnanimous pity quickly recedes, and a calm grim view of the war on the horizon returns.

It’s too bad for them they haven’t got a decent choice. It’s a good thing they haven’t got a decent choice.

I think HRH will disregard Pelosi and company. She was quoted yesterday as saying “when we resolve Florida and Michigan”…sounds like HRH is itching for that brokered convention at all costs.

Ernie, you’ve inspired me. Atlas Shrugged – one of my fave books of all time. Haven’t read it in many years. I just finished the latest Ken Follett and have been wondering what will be next…seems that question has been answered for me. Thank you Ernie!

But someone did, long ago. I’m re-reading “Atlas Shrugged”, and I’m amazed at the parallels between Ms. Rand’s “People’s State”-type government and the ideas put forth by the Democratic Party today.

If the Democratic Party was “democratic,” the leaders wouldn’t be so intent on dismissing the votes of the people in Florida and Michigan.

They’re all just a bunch of manipulating, self-serving politicians who deserve all the contempt the people can heap upon them.
