Speaking of Memorial Day, I hear that the White House just announced that Specialist Ross McGinnis, USA, will recieve the Medal of Honor posthumously. Well deserved.
All our people who served in this ugly little non-war are heros, damn those who would think less of any of them.
On Thursday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Kearsarge (LHD), Leyte Gulf (CG), and spoke with the SEALs and SWCC guys.
On Friday night, I was at the CO’s reception (officers, NCO’s, and enlisted were all present) for all the ships visiting.
Anytime I’m with the men and women of the armed forces, it makes me proud of our country.
