He’s quoting various intemperate blog posts—written by people with no connection to Steyn or Maclean’s—to make the point that Steyn’s article encouraged others to view Muslims with hatred.
Because the negative feelings toward Islamofascists is ONLY due to said blog posts and not to things like flying 4 jetliners into buildings and killing thousands of innocent people…

Interesting fact about this tribunal is that the founder is appalled that it is being used in this manner.
There’s a bit of folk wisdom that applies here and I have found to be true; people accuse you of what they would do themselves.
Additionally, I have been scanning the horizon since 9/11 looking for those “moderate Muslims” the defenders of Islam are always talking about. Haven’t seen one yet who is willing to come out and say “this is wrong, guys. Just quit it.” Maybe there just aren’t any.

Michelle ~ seems I would fit in. They are pulling “witnesses” in who have absolutely no evidentiary ties to the case. Then again, they can’t be evidentiary because they have no rules of evidence.

Mark Steyn is soooo good and bright and writes so well and clearly that the people who are challenging and “judging” him won’t even be able to understand him. Their loss. We ought to offer him automatic citizenship….and he probably likes hockey, so there’s more reason than ever to add him to the USA ‘mix.’
