As I write this the Blue Angels are zooming around the buildings here in downtown Chicago, practicing for the 50th annual Air & Water show that starts today at 3pm on the lakefront. The echoes are intense and one can just barely catch a glimpse of them in the reflections of the buildings as they zip around. Neato.

I am still amazed by the video coming out of the military these days. Who do we blame for the military actually EMBRACING good P.R. these days? This looked like a recruiting video shown to college guys trying to decide on a career.” Here! Look at this! Its not all polish and * kissing. Sometimes we even get to fly for fun.”

“Charlie Oscar” wasn’t too happy when he found out about the J.O.’s “Helmet Cam.” Took some great footage as demonstrated here.

Having over 12 years of Bogey Driving experience in A-4, F-5 and F-18 aircraft. The “Super Fox” was hands down the best 1v1 aircraft I’ve flown…it had no peer.

Like you Lex, I yearn for those days!
