Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Relocating?SponsorsNearly 60k hits and 130k page views per month - low rates! excellent vid. thanks for posting it.
There is no little irony that an American
of Arabic roots should give his life in the Middle East, of all places, in support of a nation that had provided so much for he and his family. An inspiring story and one that proves that those “ties that bind” us together as a people and a nation despite our varied backgrounds have not yet totally
dissolved. Extremely inspiring on the one hand, and a crying shame on the other–especially if all the sacrifices are
undone and will eventually have essentially been for naught should certain minds triumph.
I this on the TV last night and thought it was fantastic. I was hoping it would be coming out on youtube. Thanks Lex!
Hooyah Mike Monsoor!
That was a touching tribute last evening, here in St. Paul. Thank you for sharing this video.

I don’t have the words. I’ll just repeat what’s been said so many times before: “Where do we get men such as him?”
God bless and keep you, Michael.
VZ, I would gently remind you that 85% of the Arabs in America are Christian, most of them having been driven out of their native lands by Arab Muslims. Although I don’t know it for certain, I’d lay odds that Michael Mansoor came out of the 85%, not the other. Good for him, and good for us, there was an America for his ancestors to come to, and for men like him to grow up in. He was American through and through, only his name was Arab. Thank God we got to have him on our side.
Wow! That was truly touching.
