Ahhh, Olbiewan and Tingletoes. How I shall miss them not.

Only time in my life that I almost destroyed a TV set was watching Olbiewan spew out hateful invective about his favorite target...the President. Not watching him is like not doing drugs...spares the brain from the effects of destructive substances. Lord, what a pathetic and miserable individual.

As for Tingletoes, he can't seem to settle on just plain stupid or blithering idiot. I actually feel for the guy. Once in a blue moon he does seem to try to be objective, but always ends up getting skewed in favor of some twisted notion ricocheting about his cranium. Such a waste of talent...

I personally give no credence to the polls, since they change daily but only on the order of one or two percentage points. Looking at the results of a suspect-at-best system this closely only breeds discontent as the supposedly favored side latches on to the daily result as a confirmation of their god given destiny to be victorious in three months.

That said, as I was watching the Palin speech I remarked to my wife that there's no way I could ever take Olberman seriously as a newscaster because every time I saw him all I heard was the SportsCenter theme.

I believe there is a rational basis for the tipping point. It's the American public comparing 2 full tickets.

On the one hand we have Mr. HopeandChange with the thinnest resume in history of a presidential candidate who chooses a Washington insider with questionable judgement and intelligence (despite his assurances the his IQ is much higher than anyone else's).

On the other we have a true American patriot with over 20 years of political experience as a Maverick, choosing someone with more executive level experience than Mr. HopeandChange and who has existed fully outside Dupont Circle.

McCain * Palin 2008
