Many years ago, guys like schumer and reid were the ones who usually showed up for class on Monday with the results of a severe ass-whipping. For stepping out of line and young men being what they were, oh well. I guess they do deserve to have an ass whipping. I suggest and old time Shellback Ceremony. You know before the PC and Coed days.

In reference to one of dd’s questions, I must ask one question; one that I’ve never heard answered in a satisfactory manner. Why do dems, knowing that domestic drilling can ease the fuel crunch, refuse to admit that drilling , at least for the short run (Oh say 100 years or so) , will help our fuel shortages? Oh BTW, please don’t try to convince me that the oil supplies aren’t there, because it is a proven fact that they are….try western slope shale oil, oil in west Texas that has yet to be tapped using new technology, as well as offshore oil that is present in abundant quantities.

For what it’s worth, I realize that there are a miriad of reasons that the left can present, that, to their way of thinking rule out drilling. Incidentally, these can all be objectively and factually proven to be wrong. This has been done over and over again.

Your comments on the motives of Senator Obama disgust me. “America-hating radical”??? Frankly I don’t necessarily agree with Senator McCain on a number of issues, but I still respect him for his dedication to public service and the sacrafices he has made for this country. I do not question that he believes that he is doing what he believes is best for the American people.

Yes aeroeng, the Democrats have been doing that for some time (attempting to make the current administration seem “headed in the wrong direction”). Any Republican proposal, regardless of its merit or common sense, is always fought tooth and toenail by the Democrats.

Drilling domestically can do nothing but help our fuel situation, yet, Democrats fight and fight, knowing they are on the wrong side. That’s only one issue.

If Obama is elected, watch how much “better” things will suddenly be in the liberal mainstream press and media. The birds will sing, the sun will shine and the economy will gain by leaps and bounds (according to their reports). I guarantee you that’s what will happen if this America-hating radical is elected.

Do you honestly believe that these people would gamble with the future of this country for their own political benefit? Frankly the assumptions that people make about the character of our leaders in Washington baffle me. There could be some specifics in this bill that warrant more debate.
