Some folks fly airplanes. Some fewer fly fighters. Fewer still fly them off aircraft carriers. A select few among these spent their shore duty gunning the lights out of hapless fleet bubbas. It was damned fine work, if you could get it.

Thank you for your patience as we get our Association airborne. The last few months have been hectic as we have formerly incorporated the Association, developed a website, developed our first logo, requested and received our tax exempt status from the IRS, and had our initial gathering at NAS Oceana in August. While progress has been made, we must expand our membership significantly in order to have the resources needed to move forward. If you are a member already, please forward this newsletter to any bandits you are in contact with and encourage them to participate. If you haven’t joined yet…..WE NEED YOU! Please email us and we will send you the user name and password needed to access the secure part of the website to join. Please include the unit you were in and the time frame you were a bandit. The Navy Adversary Pilot Association is the organization that will allow you to maintain contact with that elite group of Naval Aviators who can call themselves:
“BANDITS”!

dang Lex, Atoll? that is definitely dating the period and age of the fighters you were “impersonating”. Still, getting an Atoll “kill” on a fleet guy must have been both rewarding (for you) and extremely humbling for the target.
All eyesight, eh? The ‘specially chosen few with 20/10 and daily practice!
Who’d dare argue about it, you might get stuck at Fallon longer!
