		<description>I don&#039;t think moderation is a &quot;glory&quot; of democracy.  In fact, the founding fathers were very concerned about the risk of extremism posed by democracy.  Thus, a republican form of government.
This may seem pedantic, but in the long run it is dangerous to attribute all the good stuff to &quot;democracy&quot; when too much reverance for democracy could, likely would,  lead to extremism and tyranny.
