Actually, I believe that operative form of intellectual property here is trademark, not copyright.

I don’t think the government trademarks its insignia, although there was a big controversy recently over the Army licensing the “Big Red One” insignia to Sears. Perhaps (snark) our friends to the south reached a similar deal?

About the BA logo in public domain, well. Something may not be illegal, mas it may still be immoral.

Also, I don’t think Blue Angels Security -Brasil- have any F18s, or any other kind of jets.

Good heavens, Grumpy, I wasn’t suggesting anything lethal if we made a visit. More like a display of play-fighting, like Lex does for interested folks on weekends. Sort of like fencing with buttons on the foils, you know… We’ve got enough wars going on right now, anyway. I want our soldiers and airmen safe. And long-lived.
