Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

At least we’ve got SOMETHING in the Air Force you Squids lust after besides our F-22s (heh) Chalk another one up for Homeschooling, BTW……Anybody out there want to get “motivated” by pvt lessons from our gal Friday?
(Yes, I AM a minion of evil and a sexist pig–but at my age my duties are largely ceremonial)
Yeah, Virgil, but I bet you still charm the socks right off of ‘em
She may not be wearing lip gloss, but I think that can be forgiven in this case.
I like faux inspirational posters. You can see a number of parodies at http://www.despair.com. You may seen some of them in other places. Alas, Lex can’t use them since they are copyright, so you’ll have go there and see them yourself.
I just checked the “despair” site again, and it’s clean of cyber parasites.
Just saw the ad below, for
http://www.becomefighterpilot.com
For a mere $57 you learn how to become a fighter pilot in the AF, USMC, or Navy. I wonder if it would help a 54 y0 make it
It’s a Google ad, but seems appropriate for Lex’s site.
I could have told you she was never a cheerleader. Geez…does she look like she has a room temperature IQ?
The look in that offhand eye tells the story on this lass. She owns whoever she’s looking at.
And I’ll bet he still has ‘em giggling at his jokes, Byron…
Happy Friday, Gang!
Mongo!
Happy Friday too! I’m trying to decide whether to head down to the local pub for some Cuervo & Corona, or just go up to the music room with some bourbon and work on a couple blues numbers I’ve been fiddling with.
Sigh… decisions decisions…
Hey Tim! Stay home and play with the toonz. Safer and the drinks are cheaper. :^) In your ventures, did you ever cross paths with an AW by the name of Mark Gallup? He was left coast Navy and started out in P-3′s (early ’75), and then finished out the career in S-3′s at NASNI. Old high school bud now retired and living on Maui.
It’s funny but both my best buds went Navy after school, the guy above and another who went subs (only two kinds of ship in his Navy; subs and targets). Funny thing is that I came home on leave once, and bubblehead’s folx asked “Where do ya think Pete is?” My first thought was “Jail?” “He joined the Navy and went into submarines!” Geez, who’d a thunk?
I was the rogue turd in the bunch and affiliated with rich uncle’s miscreant children. Ooo rah!
Nah,
Nothing wrong with da Marines. I had, whilst finishing my degree, entertained the notion of applying for a USMC commission and becoming an NFO. I had a real special place in my heart for A-6′s. Had a friend do that. He loved it. Sadly, shortly thereafter my eyes went over the limit, so I was content to stay where I also liked the job: P-3′s. Loved it too. Miss it a lot. Hear ‘em every day.
Yeah, prolly gonna head topside in a bit. I’ve got one number that’s almost there. Gonna be in the studio end of February, so hopefully have some stuff up on my MySpace player for folks to listen to.
I dunno… I kinda like the look of this sniper. It certainly isn’t her first time out of the convent!
AW1 Tim, I visited your myspace site and to be very meek and mild, to put it sofly… it’s WILD!!! Please drop the address into another comment soon so I can return and others may visit as well.
Mongo… I’ve intended to ask for a long time now: what part of Puget Sound, metro area do you live in? I’m just north of Seattle, in Mill Creek. We live on high ground, thankfully; no flooding here despite the name.
PG,
http://profile.myspace.com/gwedd
I gotta add a couple more blog posts, and there’s some more pics that need to go up. It’ll get there
I have some interesting friends … heh.
Respects,
PG, currently Crown Hill but looking at Snohomish city (just sw of lake stevens) in the next 60-90; 7.5 acre pre-foreclosure acquisition looking possible. The current day yob keeps me in the eastside (Billville & Sammamish) mostly.
Lex flew ‘God’s jet’ but we live in God’s country. Wow! Lex has my eml…
More on the Sniper Gal, Polly-Jan Bobseine. She was the 2006 Air Combat Command Outstanding Airman [non-NCO] of the Year. Much less becoming photo (must be the lack of the rifle…) and Official biography at http://www.ajbgraphics.com/pdf%20files/oaypro06.pdf
Some highlights:
She was home schooled and graduated in June 2000. She competed in state and regional High-Power Rifle shooting, achieved New York State’s 2000 Junior Trap Champion title, taught skiing, snowboarding, and lettered in swimming. After graduating high school, Airman Bobseine moved to Wyoming where she was employed as a horse wrangler until relocating to Tennessee to train horses professionally before enlisting in the United States Air Force, leaving in March 2003 for Lackland Air Force Base, Texas for basic training. Upon graduation, she volunteered for a special duty assignment to the 823d Security Forces Squadron, Moody AFB, Georgia, arriving in August 2003. Since serving in the unit, Airman Bobseine has completed Army Airborne Training…. She is currently pursuing her private pilot license and enrolled in Park University, working towards an Associates degree in Criminal Justice.”
A fine catch for some lucky bachelor!
Her real story is better than the fake one. She’s a nice kid, serving her country, and can point a bang-stick in the right direction.
She can run for governer, hell, even senator of New York!
Methinks OHS would prefer John’s motivational posters.
Both of them.
Your site is amazing, Tim. Enjoyed the music and just looking around. I don’t have a MySpace account, but am fully involved in FaceBook.
Mongo, your plans will put you quite close; Snohomish is a unique antique town we frequent on sunny Sundays. My handle is the result of the old-time TV detective series. While my first name is accurate, last begins with Ol. It would be fun to get together sometime if you search Facebook, white pages, etc.
SJB – That’s too funny, but then the lass is probably a bit more grounded than the latest Senate candidate from that state. You know?
PG: Looking…
