Nancy Pelosi has successfully led the US Congress into it’s lowest approval ratings. Evar. Not content with that feat of historical legerdemain, she now says that she remains “open” to the notion of prosecuting Bush administration officials accused of misdeeds.
I actually happen to think that is a very good idea. It’s much easier – and apparently more politically effective – to make broad accusations of official misconduct than it will be to prove them in a court of law. If administration officials indeed broke the law then they deserve to be found guilty, but I’m also looking for to Pelosi’s legal team openly attempt to fabricate a legal theory under which policy differences can be prosecuted. It should make for some great theater.
And who knows? Maybe the whole thing will keep her attention diverted from legistlation that is actually harmful.

Since I’m just one dumb vet, please answer one question. What is her role in these “misdeeds”? Her strategy could come back and bite her.
Grumpy
I think Lex is on to something here–the old, “don’t-throw-me-into-that briar-patch theory.” Or is it the “rope-a-dope” technique? Considering that it’s Pelosi, probably the latter.
Well, you know, it might just be Demomediacademywood’s only way to live on forever in that most wonderful time of their lives: the golden age of BDS.
Humorous, but not, we do seem to be moving towards prosecuting for policy differences. It’s only when other countries do it that we call it persecution. Isn’t there some saying about people who don’t stand for something . . .
As long as it is in a court of law, I am all for it.
If it is to be in a kangaroo court in the Senate, I’ll pass.
Lex and friends … Maybe I’m just a crazy old idealist, but I do believe that not quite all Democrats are as dumb as Nancy Pelosi. Some of the less dumb ones must realize that the knife cuts both ways, on both parties. If you can impeach the Presidential Administration of one party, for crimes against the state because of their legitimate decisions on how to protect our country, you can equally well do so to the next Presidential Administration. Which might be Democrat.
Think ahead, Nan. It seems the Botox has addled your brain.

She’s “open” to the idea, which means she’s throwing a bone to the left. Nothing will come of it but much screeching and howling.
‘Tis a useful club to continue to beat the opposition with, but they will never do anything, just drag out opprobrium as long as possible.
Nancy Pelosi and her cronies in Congress wouldn’t recognize a piece of legislation – harmful or not – if it bit her on her Botoxed nose.
The inmates are running the asylum – god help us.
Yeahhhhh, but someone has to pay the legal defense fees which could break innocent people. Nice way to get even with enemies is to bankrupt them.
It all stinks.
Received this from a friend recently. A noted psychiatrist was a guest speaker at an academic function where Nancy Pelosi happened to appear. Ms Pelosi took the opportunity to schmooze the good doctor a bit and asked him a question with which he was most at ease.
‘Would you mind telling me, Doctor,’ she asked, ‘how you detect a mental deficiency in somebody who appears completely normal?’
‘Nothing is easier,’ he replied. ‘You ask a simple question which anyone should answer with no trouble. If the person hesitates, that puts you on the track.’
‘What sort of question?’ asked Pelosi.
Well, you might ask, ‘Captain Cook made three trips around the world and died during one of them. Which one?”
Pelosi thought a moment, and then said with a nervous laugh, ‘You wouldn’t happen to have another example would you? I must confess I don’t know much about history.
I didn’t check it out on Snopes for fear that it may be false. Sure sounds like her brain, or lack thereof, at work.
I’m going to wait for the accused to accept their court appointed lawyers or accept the services of the pro bono sorts that were so swift to leap to the defense of the terrorists in Gitmo. I’m not going to be laughing.
Hey, anything that diverts her attention and keeps her from slamming the Assault Weapons Ban Mk.2 on us is a good thing.
I’m more on it about some bonehead’s attempt to repeal the 22nd amendment. Now, I wonder who thought this up?
Thought it was a joke when first it crossed my desk.
That’s scary stuff, Mongo…and could be the beginning of the second Revolution.
I doubt that there’s be any trouble finding at least 14 states to vote against it.

Dunno. Seems kinda funny that lots of folks want to “vote the rascals out” and put term limits on those that don’t have any. As the sword cuts both ways, imagine the horror. the horror. of a third term for the BDS demographic.
At least SlickWilly had the good sense to get hisself impeached.
Spaz, that’s exactly why I didn’t Snope it. Damn, you ruined my entire week. lol.
If ex-government officials can be prosecuted for alleged misdeeds, that is political crimes (opposite to obviously indictable offenses), there is every reason for them to commit crimes just to stay in office.
Hajo nailed the reason why dictators usually go violently. Frankly, the Democrats are laying the ground for a true Civil War. The unpleasantness of 1860-65 was a war for independence on the part of the south, and an imperial war of conquest for the north. The next one, if there is not a revolution at the polls, will be a real one.
Greetings:
Shouldn’t that have been “First Woman Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi…
Hi 11B40,
Can this organism present an affidavit or other sworn statement that it is not in fact an alien of some sort? Did it present us with live young or did it spawn?
Let’s see the proof!
