ASM826, I have to agree. My first thought upon seeing that picture was if I had one of those I’d never have to bother dusting again. Just spray some furniture polish on the little thing and throw one of those hard rubber Super Bounce balls into the living room. Problem solved, and the hardwood floor would look great.

Hmmmm…. Ya know, the wife does have a long-haired cat… A bottle of Pledge and a few ounces of catnip might save me a whole host of housework.

Have to experiment with that when she’s visiting her mother next time…

The theme of your father’s story must be an old one that has deep and wide roots. I first heard it told by Russel Long (D-SEN., La,) in the Carter era, I believe, only he used the example of the then “outrageous” cost of eggs at a dollar/carton in which a friend allowed as he’d sell ‘em for 40 cents per, only to have Russell reply: “If I didn’t….I’d sell ‘em for 40 cents a carton too.”

It just occured to me that we should send all those stimulus people with shovels out to Murtha’s district on an emergency basis to turn his low level prison into a super max. Talk about stimulating the economy! Let’s get to it!
