Lex, you should contact “Gumby” at the Lone Star Flight Museum. He’s a former Marine Bronco Pilot and his favorite ride is Tar Heel Hal, the Jug at the Museum. He could tell you all about it.

I think Husband would give his eyeteeth for a T-28…he loved being an instructor in that plane! Can’t give an arm or leg as he’d need them to fly the thing.

Here’s another site to examine. Chuck Smith is the owner and he’s based at Camarillo. He has the only 2 remaining turbine powered YAT-28 prototypes, at least he did last time I was there.

With all this nostalgic “radial love” emanating from the group, I can’t help but get a plug in. My T-28B is available. If I can’t sell it I may have to resort to donating it to the CAF or some other 503.c organization, but would only realize a sum equal to my tax bracket….less than a desirable outcome for all the work I put into it.
I guess I could give it to Mark Clark to put on his website for everyone to fantasize over.

The Badger’s Burrow is a 90 minute drive from Oshkosh. The motels and UW Oshkosh’s dorms fill up fast, as do places for many miles around. I could probably stash one or two of you here, and the money you would save on a motel room could be spent on stuff at the Air Show.
