Word is, the Democratic White House and Congress *are* working together on an stimulus package they all can agree upon:

"President Barack Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress is considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act. AWNAA is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any skills or ambition.

'Some Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society,' said California Senator Barbara Boxer. 'We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.'

In a Capitol Hill press conference, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance.

Under The AWNAA, more than 25 million 'middle man' positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose."

Lets see, 25% of SanFranNan's Democratic Caucus are seriously unhappy with Her Leadership and she is not concerned about it? That is 63 Reps from the 255 seats held by Dems, which leaves 192. If those 63 plus the 178 Republicans formed a coalition of 241, seems to me like that would be a sure fire recipe to de-throne the Queen & maybe get someone a little less, shall we say "toxic" or "repugnant". I know, not likely (maybe even impossible, as I have no idea how Congressional Rules would apply). Never the less if the 25% banded together, they could De Facto her ineffective, useless, worthless, pretty much how she is right now as far as getting anything good and useful done for America.
You are correct R-R-M, one can only hope!

Please Lex, stop this madness -

Speaker Pelosi has warned us that all this dithering and fighting is costing the US economy 500 MILLION jobs/month (http://www.infowars.com/pelosi-flub-500-million-americans-to-lose-jobs-each-month/ ) - within little over 6 weeks you, myself, everybody reading this blog and all their children and elderly and disabled relatives will be fired twice if we get distracted from the dire necessity of agreeing RIGHT NOW to $15 billion for boosting Pell Grant college scholarships, shelling out $4 billion for job-training programs, including $1.2 billion to provide “youth” summer jobs for people up to the age of 24, not neglecting to pay out $1 billion for community development block grants, doing the right thing and spending $4.2 billion for “neighborhood stabilization activities” and ensuring that “vulnerable populations get $650 million for digital TV coupons, including $90 million to educate. So please, stop listening to the siren song of Rush Limbaugh and accept that all of our jobs, all of them depend upon us uniting, in hope, for change. Because as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said, "stimulus is in the eye of the beholder."

Thank you, and God bless America.

I did not vote for the President but as I stated before, he is all we have to lead and I support him.

The only hope we have is for him to stand up to the leadership in Congress and of his own party. As much as I deplore the process and wish we could get to a cleaner form of legislative process for now all we have is he ugly one that exists.

Obama must stand up to Pelosi and Reid but avoid outright warfare with them else he ends up like Jimmy Carter and frankly we cannot afford that while facing the challenges we face.

His greatest challenges, and therefore the greatest challenges we face as a nation, are centered on the opposite end of Pennsylvania Avenue from the Oval Office. Obstacle in Chief is Madam Chairman, Dearest Leader, Her Excellency Hopefully Not for Life or if so a Short One, Botox Betty, Speaker Pelosi.

Let's hope this article is true and behind the scenes Obama is working to tame the more extremist elements in his party.

What is our alternative, anyway?

Her "leadership" of the House will result in the entire country going the way of California - totally bankrupt, over-run with the "entitled", and a serious attitude of "outta the lifeboat if you don't agree with my rationing decisions".

Will be interesting to see how much lower the congressional approval ratings plummet.
