In my “glass is half-full” outlook, I read some of the 40 comments on the link and was moderately pleased to see that the readers of the blog were in overall agreement that it was a case of thin-skinned folks reacting to something that differed form their “reality.”
Personally, I think the poster is a great message and reminds me of a sign I saw on a bus in Seattle a decade ago. It was a photo of a puppy, with the words something to the effect – hate is learned.

I remember (a little) back when the liberal University students protested and rioted in the name of free speech. Now Universities are bastions of Free Speech; as long as it’s the right kind.
